Although you will get a taste of many areas, there are a few different areas one can focus on, from Campus Ministry, Church Planting, Worship/Media, Discipleship, Compassion & Kingdom Outreach, and Administration. During the application process, you’ll get to tell us a bit more about where you’d like to focus. If by chance the area of your interest and giftedness is not represented here, we are open to suggestions!
That depends on your school. Contact us for more details…
The goal of our internship program is to help interns stretch, grow, and discover who God has created them to be. We trust that you will learn more about your particular gifts and how to use them as you serve the work of the kingdom of God through JourneyChurch. During the internship, you’ll gain invaluable experience, help start new ministry work, and discover your God-given ministry potential.
Yes! This is a great way to do this internship, actually. Part-time would mean 20-25 hours per week, and would leave you open to get a part-time job to help offset living costs. Full-time, one year, and summer options are also available.
It is somewhat flexible. Right now the options are summer, 3-month, 9-month (a school year) and 1-year options. During the internship, you will be evaluated each month.
No. While we seek to bless and help interns any way we can, payment is not available. You will have to raise your own money and/or work part-time to support yourself. We will help you with the support raising.
Journey Church does not currently have housing available for interns although we may be able to point you in the right direction…
