We believe every follower of Jesus should be a contributing part of a local church family, and we’re committed to helping you become fully devoted passionate followers of Jesus. From your initial decision to accept Jesus as your Savior to your role in changing lives, we’ll lead you through the steps to finding great fulfillment in life, relationships and service in the church community. When you start the Next Steps Growth Journey, you’re making an effort to connect to the Journey family and to see what it means to be a partner in the vision we are pursuing together – to experience the transforming love of Christ so we can love God, love one another and serve the world. In each class, you will learn something about how we make that vision happen and how you can grow in your faith.
Classes are available once per semester. We will provide lunch while you continue in Next Steps, interact with our pastor and leaders and build relationships. Each class has a theme and a step that will help you grow in your journey of faith with Jesus.
In this session you will learn about who we are as a church and how it can benefit your life and the lives of others.
In this session you will learn the essentials of the Christian faith and how to take the next steps in your walk with Jesus.
This is one of the most fun classes of the series. It’s all about discovering how your gifts and personality align to help you find your best fit to use your gifts and talents for God’s glory.
Learn how to make a difference serving others and what it takes to become a servant-leader. Whether or not you aspire to leadership, the principles learned in this class will help you be a better leader.
We typically run the class 2-3 times per year. Space is limited, so contact us to register for the next class on October 22 and 29, 2017. Parts 1 and 2 take place on Oct. 22 and parts 3 and 4 on Oct. 29. The class happens after our Sunday worship experience from 12:30-3:000pm next door at the Journey Center (11 Garden Street, Cambridge, MA in the basement of First Church). Lunch is provided.
