The reason we exist as a church is to help you experience the transforming love of Jesus and follow Him (check out more about our mission). The following chart and description is a summary of how we go about the spiritual formation process.
We recommend people start with these three steps:
- Come on Sundays – Warm, inviting and inspiring – these are some of the words we hear from our guests as they explain their first Journey experience. With a simple focus on worship and the Bible, you’ll have the chance to experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ. And each service is designed with your friends in mind so you can invite them to check it out too. Find out more about our Sunday worship experience…
- Join a Life Group – We truly believe that life change happens in the context of authentic relationships. Being a part of a Life Group allows you to share your life with others who are on a similar path and journey.
- Serve on the Dream Team – The Dream Team is what we call those who serve on a ministry team at the Journey. We want to help every person find their place of fulfillment in God’s kingdom. Every believer needs to eventually transition from consumer to contributor in order to grow.
The Next Steps Class – The Next Steps Class will help you put it all together and get started on a pathway to discovering your purpose and realizing your potential! Our Next Steps Growth Journey is a series of classes that can be completed in four consecutive Sundays and is offered once per semester. From Church 1.0, a class that introduces you to the ministry of Journey Church, to Dream Team 4.0, which shows you how you can make a difference.
As you plug into Sundays, Life Groups, and our Dream Team (Serve), we will teach you how to progress in your spiritual walk. The (J) stands for things Journey Church provides and the (P) for Personal Disciplines we will teach you in order to deepen your relationship with God.
Prayer (the fuel)
If our process is the rocket ship that takes us to the desired outcome (mature disciple) then prayer is what fuels the ship. That’s why we have intentional times to seek the Lord together. Find out more about prayer…
